Call Tracking numbers are included in the Marketing 360® Full Platform plan. These call tracking numbers are set up by a provider called Bandwidth. These phone numbers are used for tracking the success of marketing campaigns, and should not be used on a permanent basis - that is, you should not use these phone numbers on any printed marketing or branding materials.
If you downgrade from the Full Platform plan or cancel your account, then these call tracking numbers will be turned off automatically. When this happens, you have two options in regards to the future of your call tracking numbers:
- Update your website and any marketing material containing the call tracking number and replace it with the number that the call tracking number was ringing to.
- You can find a new call tracking service to use. Instruct the new provider to reach out to Bandwidth, and see if the number is still available to port from Bandwidth into the new provider.
If you go with Option #2, then you will follow the steps below:
Porting Away From Bandwidth
The new carrier you choose to host your call tracking number is responsible for initiating the port request, and following the proper port-out procedure. If you need assistance with porting out your call tracking number, then your new carrier should be directed to Bandwidth’s business rules online at http://bandwidth.com/legal. If further assistance is needed, the carrier may contact the port-out team at (855) 577-2929. Keep in mind, the Bandwidth port-out team works solely with other carriers (LECs), and not with end users directly.
