If your payroll includes Scales, continue with step 2 however if it does not, jump to step 4.
Click the Menu Icon (≡) and then click Setup > Setup Workers > Setup Compensation Scales
Create and edit compensation scales to be included as part of compensation methods. Compensation scales are used to pay workers based on goals or levels they achieve, increasing the commission percentage at each predetermined level.
Tip: Include a final level that goes up to 99999.99, or an amount that cannot be exceeded, to cap the levels.
Click +New to add a new scale
Add a Name, check the Active box, add the Payment and Percentage and select the Basis
Zero based pays the worker the full commission on the total amount they achieved at the end of the period.
Step based pays the worker incrementally the percent assigned to each level up to the total amount attained for that period.
Go back to Setup Workers and click Setup Compensation Methods
Create and edit compensation methods to be assigned to workers.
Click +New to add a new compensation method
Add a Name, check the Active box, add the Action,Value, and Number
Actions: Determine the type of mathematical calculation to be done with the Value.
Value: Identify what should be equated into the payroll method. Individual Hourly Wage & Salary amounts are entered during worker detail setup.
Number: Enter a percent or number here.
Click Update Sample Calculation
Update Sample Calculation: System will provide an example of the calculations to verify accuracy.
