The Marketing 360® Text App is transitioning from the short code and primary keyword to the new industry standard 10-digit long code (10DLC) setup. During the transition period, you may see alert banners at the top of the app to help you keep track of your current status.
Existing users can continue to access the full Text app and send/receive messages using the short code 39970 and their primary keyword. New users will need to wait until their brand is approved before they can access the app, so you will only be able to access the "How It Works" page in the meantime.
Alert Statuses
New Setup Alert
When the 10DLC update goes live, existing users will see a new information banner alerting you of the product change. You can continue to access every page of the Text app and send/receive messages using the short code and their primary keyword.
When you’re ready to start the registration process, you can click “Get Started” in the app. You can also learn more about the full product change when you click the “Learn More” button in the app, or with this support article: Activate A 10-Digit Long Code Phone Number on Your Text App.
Pending Alert
Every brand must be approved by The Campaign Registry in order to meet the new industry standards set by mobile carriers. We handle this registration for you during the setup process. While you wait for approval, you’ll see a Pending banner at the top of the page. Refresh the Text App to check for a new status whenever you want, but please keep in mind that reviews can take up to 7 business days.
Approved Alert
When your brand is approved, you will see a green banner stating "Your request to receive a 10-digit long code has been approved!" Click Get Started to select your 10DLC number.
Denied Alert
If your brand is denied by The Campaign Registry, we will surface that to you in the Text app using the Denied banner. You will not be able to select a 10DLC at this time. Existing users can continue to use the app with the short code and primary keyword.
Please submit a support request to our team with the following information. Our team will reach out to you to work through the process of registering again.
Information to include in the support request:
- Your email address
- Subject: “Denied for Text 10DLC Registration”
- Description: I’ve been denied for the 10DLC registration. Please help me register again.
- Your Name/Customer Name
- Marketing 360 Account Number
- Business Name
- Business Address
- Phone Number to use for verification (must be a mobile or landline number)
Short Code Active, Toggle to 10DLC Alert
If you have previously set up a primary keyword with the short code 39970, are approved by The Campaign Registry, and have selected your own 10DLC, then the Text app will show a blue banner saying "You are using the outdated version of Text. You are sending and receiving texts using {your keyword} at 39970." Click Switch to 10-Digit Long Code to switch to the new 10DLC number.
After clicking the link, you'll be asked to confirm the switch. We recommend taking some time to update marketing materials with your new number before clicking the link to activate the new number. Once you switch to your 10DLC number, you cannot switch back.
New customers that never used the short code will not see this banner in the app.
