Creating a Branded YouTube Channel

When to use this:

✅  You’ve never posted any YouTube videos for your business

❌  Refer to Move Personal Channel to Brand Channel if you have already have a YouTube channel with videos/likes/comments/subscribers/etc.

1. Navigate to youtube.com and then click on the icon at the top-right. Select Create a channel from the dropdown menu.
   
2. Enter your company/brand name in the field and upload your logo. Select Create Channel when completed.Your channel will now be successfully created!
3. Next you will need to add Madwire as a manager to the page. At the top of the page, click the Customize Channel button.
   
4. Your YouTube Studio page will open. This is where you can customize your channel. On the left-hand sidebar, select Settings.
5. On the pop-up that appears, select Permissions on the left-hand sidebar, then click Invite in the top-right corner.
6. In the pop-up that appears, enter m360+youtube@madwiremedia.com in the Email field. Make sure to select the Manager role in the dropdown menu. 
   
7. Please notify your Success Manager that the invite is sent. We’ll also be checking and accepting invites at 7 am and 4 pm during the weekdays

Move Personal Channel To Brand Channel

A brand account is an account that is specifically for your company’s brand. This account is different from a personal Google account. Multiple people can manage brand channels, but not personal Youtube channels. If you see Add or remove manager(s), then the YT account is a brand channel and you’re good to go. If you don’t see that, follow these instructions.

• After you’ve successfully moved to a brand channel, please add m360+youtube@madwiremedia.com as Manager. Refer to How to Add Madwire as a YouTube Channel Manager.

How to Add Madwire as a YouTube Channel Manager

1. Log in to your YouTube account. At the top of the page, click the Customize Channel button.
   
2. Your YouTube Studio page will open. This is where you can customize your channel. On the left-hand sidebar, select Settings.
