The 301 Redirects add-on provides an easy method of redirecting requests to another page on your site or elsewhere on the web. In general, redirects are a way for you to automatically send visitors who land on Page A straight to Page B. By setting up 301 redirects from the old pages to the new pages, any incoming links will be seamlessly passed along.
1. Install the Simple 301 Redirects plugin
First, you will need to add the 301 Redirects plugin by navigating to the UXI® Addon menu on your website's Admin dashboard. Click on the "plug" icon on the left-hand sidebar of your Admin dashboard.
On the UXI® Addons page, scroll down to find the Simple 301 Redirects plugin. Click on the grey Add button to install the plugin on your site.
2. Set up your 301 redirects
Once you have added the Simple 301 Redirects plugin, click on the "tool" icon on the left-hand sidebar, then select 301 Redirects from the dropdown menu.
In the left-hand column, labeled Request, enter the old page that you would like to redirect. Do not enter the full URL, simply enter the details after the domain name. For example, if you want to redirect your website's Contact page, you would just enter /contact as opposed to mywebsites360.com/contact.
In the right-hand column, labeled Destination, enter the new page that you would like to redirect to. If you are simply redirecting to a new page on your site, then you would simply enter the details after the domain name, like the example in the screenshot below:
If you want to redirect a page to an external website or a different URL entirely, then you will want to add in the full URL string, as seen in the screenshot below:
When you are finished adding the 301 redirects, click Save Changes.
If you would like to redirect multiple pages within the same category, check the box labeled Use Wildcards? Wildcard Redirects are an efficient way to redirect multiple pages at once. To use wildcards, put an asterisk (*) after the category name that you want to redirect. For example, if you want to redirect all pages nested under the "Our Services" section of your site, then you would enter /our-services/* in the Request field.
