The Text Message Marketing tool in Marketing 360® Nurture can help you communicate with your employees and customers through text messages.
Keep teammates up to speed with the status of your most recent task. Notify customers about an upcoming promotion. SMS Marketing can reach your target audience with timely, coordinated SMS communication. Use it to increase sales, leverage automated communication, and build loyalty!
Please keep in mind: You cannot manually add a new user to your SMS Contacts from the Marketing 360®. This must be initiated by a user reaching out to you to comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Besides, sending a customer an unsolicited text message just isn't a good look for your business.
How SMS Works
In order for others to receive automated SMS communication from you, they first have to subscribe to your messaging. They'll do this by texting a keyword that you set up to your assigned SMS number.
For this example, lets use a keyword of 'M360'.
Through means like your website, social media accounts, or email, you'll encourage users to text M360 to your assigned SMS number. Once they've done so, they'll be added to your SMS Contacts.
Adding Your First SMS Keyword
Adding your first keyword takes just a moment.
1. From the Nurture dashboard, click Set up Text Message Marketing.
2. On the following screen, enter your keyword, then click Check Keyword Availability. This checks to make sure the keyword is not already in use.
If the keyword is available, confirm you'd like to use it by clicking Use this keyword.
If you see the Keyword Not Available error message, please try another.
3. Select whether you'd like to receive an email notification as well when a subscriber texts you. If email notification is activated, enter an email address to receive the notifications.
4. Select whether or not your location observes daylight savings time. This is important to keep scheduled messaging accurate.
5. Click Submit.
The SMS Contacts page in Marketing 360® Nurture displays all users that have subscribed to your SMS Communications. You can search your SMS Contacts by their name or phone number using the search bar near the top left corner of the page.
Edit any user's details by clicking their phone number in the left column. Once you're viewing their profile, several actions are available.

You may also add these subscribers to specific lists. SMS Lists allow you to segment your SMS Contacts and reach out to specific lists of people with targeted SMS communication.
For example, create a list titled 'Customer Loyalty' to send promotions to your best customers.

SMS Campaigns are sets of messages that are to be sent out at scheduled intervals. Each message within a campaign can be sent out right away or scheduled for a later time. Use campaigns to message your users coupons, trivia, payment reminders, or just about anything else!
