The drag-n-drop email builder makes it easy to design powerful, responsive emails that look great in any inbox.
To get started with the email builder, you can either create a builder template first, then create your campaign.
Alternatively, jump right into creating a campaign or journey email! You can always save the email as a template to use later.
All emails consist of three parts: the header, body, and footer. Scroll down to dive into a full description of each.
The header of an email can contain only three things
|Logo||Add your business or organization's logo to add branding to the email.|
|Preheader Text||A brief description of what’s in your email, shown as a preview in the inbox of most major email clients next to the subject line.|
|View In Browser link||A link that points to the web-hosted version of your email, which is kept on our servers. This helps recipients who can't view HTML emails to view the full version of your email.|
The body of the email is made of sections. Each section is an area to place content like images, text, or buttons. Add as many as you like! Re-arrange them using the drag-n-drop editor. Each section can have different background images or colors, and column padding options. You can also make individual sections available only to specific segments or lists using dynamic content.
To open the footer settings in the left sidebar, click anywhere in the email footer.
Your email footer must always include:
|Company name and address||This gives your recipients useful contact info for your business or organization. It's also required to comply with anti-spam regulations.|
|Unsubscribe link||This gives your recipients a way to unsubscribe. While that's never the goal, the link must be made available as this is also required to comply with anti-spam regulations.|
You can also optionally include elements like these
|Subscriber preference center link||This gives your recipients a way to manage their subscription preferences like a new email they'd like to receive your emails.|
|An explanation of why the recipient is receiving the email||It's useful to include info like 'You're receiving this email because you subscribed to the Monthly Update Newsletter from Marketing 360®' to make maintain trust and brand recognition with your recipients.|
|Social media links||This gives your recipients an easy way to stay engaged with with your social media accounts.|
|Social sharing links||This gives your recipients a way to spread the word by sharing the email on their social media accounts.|
In addition to the logo and header seeings, the Settings menu is where you set options like
|Email-side settings||This includes things like colors and fonts.|
|Vertical spacing for sections||This is how you can add consistent spacing between each of the elements in the email.|
|Language||While you can write the content of your email in whatever language is needed. Use these settings to determine what language is used on things like sharing buttons, unsubscribe links, and preference center links.|
Access the Settings menu by clicking the icon in the Build menu on the left.
Use the drag-n-drop editor to add content blocks from the Build menu on the left into the columns in each section. Check out the example below to see just how easy it is to build beautiful, effective emails. We'll break down each content type below.
Choose from multiple styles, fonts, alignments and colors. Add links and personalized content to your emails. Use text blocks to add content that'll inform and engage your recipients and keep your brand front-of-mind. Inform them of a new product, get them excited about a new service, or promote an upcoming sale!
No matter how great your content is, images can help drive the point home! Upload an image from your computer, or link to an image on the web, opening up the possibility for personalized images. After it's uploaded, you can scale or crop the image directly in the email.
Use images to show off products, show off the services you offer, or just give your email some personality!
Spacers and dividers
Dividers are a fixed-size content block that contain a centered line, used to separate content.
A spacer is a blank, adjustable content block. It inserts a column-wide vertical space that helps to vertically position other elements.
Buttons serve as a call to action that link users to your website or anywhere else on the web.
Now that users are all hyped up from your text and images, use buttons to drive traffic to your website.
In certain cases, static images just don't prove the point. Add a video instead! While most email clients don't support playing video, add a video block with a YouTube or Vimeo URL and a screenshot with a superimposed play button will be automatically generated. When recipients click, they'll be linked to your video.
Preview and test
To preview your email content while working on it, click Preview in the top right corner of the browser. This shows how your content will look on both desktop and mobile devices.
