Add a Click-to-Call or Click-to-Text Link

Most modern smartphones will turn phone numbers into click-to-call or click-to-text links automatically within the mobile browser, but if you need to add a special click-to link into your website, you can do this by adding in a special action to your hyperlink.

This function can be added in both the Pages and Design view.

From the Pages view

1. Select the Pages tab at the top of your Websites app, and open the page you'd like to add the link to.
2. Find the content block where you'd like to add the link. In the Description field, highlight the text you'd like to turn into a click-to link, and then select the "Insert Link" icon above the description field (see image below for reference).
   
   
3. In the URL field:
   1. For a click-to-call option, enter tel: followed by the phone number with no hyphens or spaces (example: tel:8557738171).
      
      
   2. For a click-to-text option, enter sms: and then the phone number (example: sms:8557738171).
      
      
4. Select Add to generate the link.

From the Design view

1. Select the Design tab at the top of your Websites app, and open the page you'd like to add the link to.
2. In the Design preview window, highlight the text you'd like to turn into a click-to link, and click the "insert link" icon in the menu that appears.
   
   
3. In the URL field:
   1. For a click-to-call option, enter tel: followed by the phone number with no hyphens or spaces (example: tel:8557738171).
      
      
   2. For a click-to-text option, enter sms: and then the phone number (example: sms:8557738171).
      
      
4. Select Save to generate the link.
