Most modern smartphones will turn phone numbers into click-to-call or click-to-text links automatically within the mobile browser, but if you need to add a special click-to link into your website, you can do this by adding in a special action to your hyperlink.
This function can be added in both the Pages and Design view.
From the Pages view
- Select the Pages tab at the top of your Websites app, and open the page you'd like to add the link to.
- Find the content block where you'd like to add the link. In the Description field, highlight the text you'd like to turn into a click-to link, and then select the "Insert Link" icon above the description field (see image below for reference).
- In the URL field:
- For a click-to-call option, enter tel: followed by the phone number with no hyphens or spaces (example: tel:8557738171).
- For a click-to-text option, enter sms: and then the phone number (example: sms:8557738171).
- For a click-to-call option, enter tel: followed by the phone number with no hyphens or spaces (example: tel:8557738171).
- Select Add to generate the link.
From the Design view
