You can remove, reorder, duplicate, or edit the visibility pages on your website in the Pages view of your Websites app.
- Delete a page
- Duplicate a page
- Hide a page
- Rearrange pages in navigation
- Create a navigation dropdown menu
Delete a page
Note: If you need to save a page for later we recommend saving the content by hiding or turning the page invisible, rather than deleting it entirely.
Deleting a page will also delete any nested pages. You may want to unnest or move the page out of the nested area before deleting the main page.
To delete or remove a page:
- On the Pages view, find the page you'd like to remove. Click the overflow menu on the right-hand side of the page, then select Delete from the menu.
- Confirm your deletion. There is no undo button, so take a moment to read the message before hitting Yes.
Duplicate a page
To duplicate or clone a page:
- On the Pages view, find the page you'd like to remove. Click the overflow menu on the right-hand side of the page, then select Duplicate page from the menu.
- A prompt will appear asking to confirm the duplication. Click Yes.
- Select the Yes button when prompted. Your cloned page will appear right below the one you just selected, with the same page title.
Your new page will have a unique system of style settings and you may edit it as needed. Keep in mind that changes made between these pages are not synced, they are independently managed. Also, note that you cannot duplicate entire parent and nested page sections.
Hide a page
To change a page's visibility (hide or turn off):
- On the Pages view, find the page you'd like to remove. Click the overflow menu on the right-hand side of the page, then select Page visibility toggle switch (Blue means that it is activated, and gray means that it is hidden).
The icon below will appear next to the page title to signal that it's invisible.
Rearrange pages in navigation
Changing the order of the pages will change the order of your site's top Navigation bar.
To rearrange a page in the navigation, click and hold your cursor on the icon to the left of the page title. Drag it up or down, and place it above or below other pages.
Create a navigation dropdown menu
You can set up dropdown menus on your site's navigation menu by using the arrow icons on the Pages view.
To make a page into a dropdown menu, use the steps above to drag the page underneath the page you'd like to nest it under. Click on the downward-facing arrow on the right-hand side of the page.
It will appear indented below the main page, signifying that it's in a dropdown menu.
To remove a page from a dropdown menu, click on the upward-facing arrow on the right-hand side of the page to un-nest it from the page above it.
