Change the order of images in a gallery
The order of your images in a gallery are determined by their placement in the Image gallery block in the Pages view. The image at the top of the block will appear first in the gallery, while the image at the bottom of the block will appear last.
To rearrange images:
- Select the Pages tab at the top of your Websites app, and open the page containing an image gallery.
- Navigate to the Image gallery block. Click and hold your cursor on the "move" icon to the left of an image, and drag it up or down.
Change image gallery arrows
A wide selection of gallery arrows are available for you to choose from so that you can customize your gallery as you please.
To change the gallery arrow style:
- Select the Design tab at the top of your Websites app.
- On the right-hand sidebar, select the Sitewide tab, then select Styles.
- On the sidebar, select Controls, and scroll to the bottom of the menu options until you see Gallery Arrows, and click to expand the section. Select an arrow and design from the options available.
- Click Save when finished.
Change the position of gallery arrows
You can choose to have the gallery arrows appear outside of your images, instead of appearing on top of the images. You can enable this setting for all galleries sitewide, or on a per-gallery basis.
Change settings for one gallery
- Select the Design tab at the top of your Websites app, and navigate to the page containing the image gallery you'd like to edit.
- Click directly on one of the images in the gallery. The gallery's settings will appear on the right-hand sidebar.
- Check the box labeled Display gallery arrows outside of image.
- Click Save.
Change settings for all galleries sitewide
- Select the Design tab at the top of your Websites app.
- On the right-hand sidebar, select the Sitewide tab, then select Styles.
- On the sidebar, select Controls, and scroll to the bottom of the menu options until you see Gallery Arrows, and click to expand the section.
- On the bottom of the Gallery Arrows section, check the box labeled Display gallery arrows outside of image.
- Click Save.
Create a thumbnail image gallery
A thumbnail image gallery functions like a slideshow, but also displays smaller thumbnails that allow your viewers to quickly preview your images before viewing the enlarged version, all on one page. There are four thumbnail gallery options to choose from:
- Select the Design tab at the top of your Websites app, and navigate to the page containing the image gallery you'd like to edit.
- Click directly on one of the images in the gallery. The gallery's settings will appear on the right-hand sidebar.
- Open the menu under Type, which displays the name of the gallery's current configuration. A menu will open, showing all of the available layout options. The four thumbnail gallery options are in the Slideshows section.
- Click Save.
Create a tile or mosaic image gallery
You can create a collage with a mosaic pattern dictated by the size and orientation of your images. The layout allows you to add visual interest with smaller photos next to larger ones and a variety of spacing, sizing, and viewing options to customize your image display.
The mosaic and tile galleries are under the Grid section.
- You can click into your image gallery within the website preview, and select the Columns button (circled in the image below) to pick and choose how many columns you'd like to showcase.
- You can also click on an image and drag it to rearrange the order in which the images appear.
- Click Save at the bottom of the right-hand sidebar.
Create an automatic slideshow
You can set your slideshow to automatically change images. To turn your gallery into an automatic slideshow:
- Select the Design tab at the top of your Websites app, and navigate to the page containing the image gallery you'd like to edit.
- Click directly on one of the images in the gallery. The gallery's settings will appear on the right-hand sidebar.
- Using the Delay setting, drag the slider bar to set a 3, 5, or 10 second delay between when the images change. A setting of "0" will prevent the images from changing automatically.
Note: If you don't see this option, then you are likely using the incorrect gallery layout. Click the dropdown menu under Type, and select the Classic Slideshow option.
- Click Save.
Change the number of visible images in a slideshow
If your gallery uses a Classic Slideshow layout (the default layout on all Image gallery blocks), then you choose between displaying one, two, or three images at a time.
To edit the number of visible images in a slideshow:
- Select the Design tab at the top of your Websites app, and navigate to the page containing the image gallery you'd like to edit.
- Click directly on one of the images in the gallery. The gallery's settings will appear on the right-hand sidebar.
- Using the Visible Items setting, drag the slider bar to the desired number.
Note: If you don't see this option, then you are likely using the incorrect gallery layout. Click the dropdown menu under Type, and select the Classic Slideshow option.
You can adjust the spacing between the images using the Image Spacing setting, right underneath the Visible Items slider bar. - Click Save.
