Sell Product Bundles

Product bundles are sets of several individual goods or services that you can sell as one "package". This is useful for situations like:

• create a product box where customers can choose which items to include
• give a discount for buying in bulk
• offering a free item in each order

Create Product Bundles

There are a few different methods to create a product bundle within your Shop App.

Create a Product Box

The easiest way to create product bundling is to add a new product called “Product kit” or “Product box” and sell it as a single unit for a single price. Add an image showing what’s inside of the kit and describe each item. While scrolling your store, customers will notice they can buy a single item or a product box with several products combined.

Here’s how you can create a “Product box” in your store:

1. On the left-hand sidebar of your Shop dashboard, select Catalog > Products.
2. Click + Add New Product.
3. Give the product a proper name to show that it is a bundle. 
4. Upload an image that shows what this kit contains and describe each item in detail.

Note: Inventory stock is tracked by its SKU number. If you sell products from the kit as individual items and they have their own SKU, you have to count stock for these products manually when you sell them as part of the kit.

Create Different Product Box Variations

For each single-product kit, you can create options and variations. That way, you can offer sets with different pre-selected items or let a customer create its own unique set.

In the example below, customers can select a set with a different number of brushes or a set with different shades of blush.

To create several product sets with pre-selected products:

1. On the left-hand sidebar, navigate to Catalog > Products and select the product kit.
2. Select the Options tab and click +Add New Option to add an option and its features.
3. Add the name of the option. (i.e. “Number of brushes")
4. Select the input type. (i.e. "radio buttons")
5. Click +Add New Value and add all values of the option. You can also choose whether they affect the base product price.
6. You can use the default option or instead select Do not preselect default value.
7. Click Save.

You can also let customers choose what products to include in their set.

To create a complex bundle product with multiple components which also have several options each:

1. On the left-hand sidebar of your Shop dashboard, select Catalog > Products.
2. Click + Add New Product. This new product will be your kit, bundle, or set. 
3. Create an option and name it accordingly.
   
4. Click Save.

Add a discount for bundling products

You can create a bundle-deal as a single product and put it on sale using the “Compare to” price. This allows customers to see how much they save.

To create a “Compare to” price for the product bundling:

1. Navigate to Catalog > Products on the left-hand sidebar, and open the product you want to edit.
2. In the "Price" section, click Manage pricing options.
3. Add the "Compare to" price. This price must be higher than the actual price you sell for.
4. Click Save.
   
   

Offer a gift for the order (BOGO)

You can use product bundles to attach a "gift" to purchases. You can utilize the Buy One Get One Free app on the App Market.

1. Install the Buy One Get One Free app on the App Market.
2. On the left-hand sidebar, navigate to Marketing > Buy One Get One Free.
3. Enter a number of products that a customer has to buy to participate in the promotion.
4. Then you have to choose what product (or category) a customer has to buy to get their gift. The gift can be a particular product or any product from the category. You can also offer a gift for free or with a discount. If you choose “100% Off”, it makes the product completely free.
5. Save the changes.
